I studied abroad during the summer of 2016 in London. I studied the United Kingdom's political culture in a class lead by a former Londoner and university faculty member. I learned a great deal from this class about how politics works in the U.K. and how it compares to my own. I learned how to handle myself in a different country and culture. While I was studying there I also met with a lot of London locals, through a mutual friend, at events in places like the top of the Gherkin building and the Google London headquarters. Through these experiences I learned a lot about the London event scene and about big social events in the U.K.
